What is it about?
The purpose of this project was to describe the incidence of pressure ulcers in an acute care setting, explore OR factors that are associated with pressure ulcer formation postoperatively, determine the incidence of pressure ulcers related to positioning in the neurosurgery OR, and examine the factors related to positioning in the neurosurgery OR that are associated with developing a pressure ulcer postoperatively.

Why is it important?
This project generated an evidence-based review of clinical practices in the neurosurgical OR related to position pressure. The results will be used to review and modify practice if indicated, review new products, and purchase positioning equipment.
