What is it about?
In AKI, MDRD and CKD EPI are not reliable estimators of GFR as they are designed for use in the steady state. We simulated the vancomycin dosing in AKI using kinetic eGFR(KeGFR) and showed better agreement with measured vanomycin trough values

Why is it important?
KeGFR can be studied for use in AKI for vancomycin dosing in order to reduce toxicity and optimise antimicrobial therapy
