What is it about?

In this work we study the microabrasive wear behavior of an iron aluminide both at roon temperature and at 200°C. We show that wear resistance increases with temperature.

Why is it important?

Wear is one of the most common failure modes in Materials and iron aluminides are intended to work at moderate to high temperature, understanding wear behavior is therefore vital.

Perspectives

This is another good work of a colaborador, Prof. Cozza from FEI and FATEC Mauá. He is an expert in microabrasive wear.
