The article describes software that makes it simpler to aggregate information and use that to predict possible toxicological effects of chemical compounds.

Why is it important?

Toxicological knowledge is now distributed over many different websites, databases, etc, and similarly, predictive models are spread around the web. OpenTox integrated all those resources but does not come with desktop software. This paper present a tool people can easily install to use the OpenTox network.
