What is it about?

Water erosion is a serious problem in Iraq. To assess the problem we need information about soil susceptiblity to water erosion which is usually called soil erodibility

Why is it important?

In order to suggest a suitable water erosion control mechanism, an estimate of annual water erosion loss is needed. Soil erodibility is needed to have such estimate.

Perspectives

In the developing countries, we have problems with research funding and infrastructure. In this paper, we used the limited data sets available in northern Iraq to have an estimate of the long term average of soil erodibility.
