What is it about?
Prefoldin is a molecular chaperone that identifies and trapping unfolded peptides, is able to act as a nano actuator too. Hydrophobic effects are considered as a crucial factor in attracting the cargo by nano actuator. The mutated PNA type 2 introduces as an inhibitor for Aβ oligomers that could be highly effective in treating Alzheimer.

Why is it important?
The present research introduces the mutated prefoldin nano actuator as an inhibiting factor for Aβ oligomers which could be highly effective in treating alzheimer's disease. Also this nano actuator can be used to inhibit other hydrophobic pathogenetic cargos and useful for drug delivery systems.
