The Prüm Treaty: Transnational bioinformation exchange in Europe

What is it about?

In 2005, seven European countries signed the so-called Prüm Treaty to increase collaboration in combating international crime, terrorism and illegal immigration. Three years later, the Treaty was adopted into EU law. In this paper, we discuss the history of the Prüm network regime, and analyse its role within the ideal of a more united Europe.
