This study investigates the effect of personality traits on the engagement level of employees.

Why is it important?

Results of this study suggest that the five factor model is useful for examining the dispositional source of job engagement. All hypotheses were proved according to the correlation analyses which mean that it is logical to think there is a significant relation between personality traits and job engagement. Openness to Experience and Agreeableness were found as significant predictors of Engagement.

Perspectives

Personality is a unique concept which guide us to perceive all dimensions of life including working life. In this study, I would like to show that which personality traits can affect engagement level of employees. It should not be forgatten that personality and work fit is an important criterion for the success and wellbeing of employees.
