What is it about?

4-aminodiphenylamine (4-ADPA) is a common industrial chemical that is used heavily in the rubber chemicals industry as a precursor to additives that improve the lifetime and flexibility of automobile tires. By using modern advances in chemistry and chemical engineering, it is possible to make 4-ADPA at relatively low cost, without the environmental pollution associated with more traditional processes.
