What is it about?

Our students carried out the Skype discussion to establish Problem Based Learning model for e-learning.

Why is it important?

Being different from usual classrooms, teachers would not confirm students' behaviors in virtual worlds. Therefore, we teachers have the difficulty to predict students' psychological situations. That may decrease the educational effects and outcomes as a result. We need tools and tricks to make our educational techniques available also for e-learning. In this experiment, we focused on eye blinking. And we tried to use the physiological reaction to predict students' psychological situations. We are still at a fundamental stage, but soon, we will move to a quantitative research soon.

Perspectives

Eye blinking is definitely and closely related to psychological situations and behaviors. Incorporating other techniques for physiological-pyschological analyses, we will try to move to a quantification study soon.
