What is it about?
A suitable combined treatment of MAP + 1-MCP was predefined to preserve fresh basil leaves. It was possible to achieve twice-longer shelf life respecting to room conditions at 11 °C.

Why is it important?
Edible herbs like basil are very fregile with short shelf lives. The predefined combined system allows to preserve its quality properties resulting in lower losses and greater opportunities to market this product.
