What is it about?

Illness perceptions are important in the way patients perceive their condition. The predictive role of illness perceptions in patients with acute low back pain to predict chronic low back pain is still unknown. We analysed this important factor in the way it influences the course of low back pain.

Our findings show that illness perceptions, measured in acute low back pain patients, influenced pain intensity for the following 12 weeks.
