What is it about?
We introduced a new perspective on renewable energy planning, operation, sizing, and siting by looking at 'predictability' as a measurable factor in a given time series. We showed how investors' and policymakers' decisions could be altered when 'predictability' is considered.

Why is it important?
When 'predictability' is ignored, we only have a half picture of the problem (for instance, battery sizing for wind/PV farms operation or finding the best location for the next wind/PV project). This will lead to at least sub-optimal solutions and could result in huge financial losses for the decision-makers.
Perspectives
This groundbreaking idea was introduced to the energy and electricity community of researchers and practitioners for the first time ever. There are a lot of technical and financial advantages of considering predictability in the decisions that could have a huge impact on how we build, operate, and maintain renewable farms.
