Electrical and ammonia gas sensing properties of poly (3, 3‴- dialkylquaterthiophene) based organic thin film transistors fabricated by floating-film transfer method

What is it about?

It is observed that FTM film is highly oriented due to self assembling. As a result an improved OTFT performance is achieved as compared to spin coated film. Also the surface roughness has been enhanced in the FTM film, therefore higher gas response for the ammonia gas is achieved.

Why is it important?

The OTFTs based PQT-12 film using FTM and spin coating have been compared for the ammonia gas sensing application.
