Why is it important?

It is necessary to improve the environmental value of fluvial corridor, connecting Sites of Communitary Interest, as conservation is the highest priority for coastal regions.

Perspectives

It has been suggested to manage terrestrial and marine resources through a coordinated strategy in which coastal and river environments could be inserted in the same landscape unit to promote the social and economic development of local communities toward a sustainable development of coastal areas.
