What is it about?

Highlights •Moderate-stage AD patients have low levels of six cytokines in the plasma. Six significantly reduced cytokines are highly interacting proteins, MMP-9, RANTES, MCP-1, MIP-1α, MIP-1β, and VEGF-A. They are included in the IL-18 signaling pathway. The severity of AD increases, the decrease in cytokine levels is associated with a decreased immune response.
