What is it about?

Unsafe nursing practice is an issue worldwide. This study explores the behaviours and cues that indicate unsafe practice may be occurring and the responses nurses make when they recognise unsafe practice. A micro-meso-macro framework was developed to illustrate and evaluate what influences unsafe practice and how individuals, teams, organisations and the wider health care system responds.
