What is it about?

This paper focuses on the solar-assisted photodegradation of Methyl Orange (MO) dye as model molecule using Cu-doped ZnO nanorods synthesized through a chemical method using a solution of zinc chloride (ZnCl2) as precursor, and with the addition of different concentrations of Cu(NO3)2 and NaOH at 65 °C.

Why is it important?

In the literature there are works of photocatalysis using ZnO, but most of them are done under UV or visible light with high or low consumption energy sources. In the present work a free light source of consumption such as sunlight was investigated.

Perspectives

More than anything else, and if nothing else, I hope you find this article thought-provoking.
