Synthesis of new biologically active isoxazoles and pyrazoles with monoterpenic skeleton.

What is it about?

New series of chiral isoxazoles and pyrazoles with monoterpenic skeleton, have been efficiently synthesized from naturally occurring (R)-Carvone. The reaction showed high peri-, regio and diastereoselectivity In the case of diarylnitrilimines. All the newly synthesized monoterpenic isoxazoles and pyrazoles were evaluated for their cytotoxic activity against some human cancer cells.
