What is it about?

It is the preparation, characterization and activity evaluation about heterojunction ZrTi2O6/TiO2 photocatalyst.

Why is it important?

The production of hydroxyl radicals (radical dotOH) during the photocatalytic process was detected by a photoluminescence (PL) technique using terephthalic acid as a probe molecule.

Perspectives

The results showed that photocatalytic activity of the ZrTi2O6/TiO2 photocatalyst (mole ratio of Zr/Ti is 1:1, heat treatment at 600 °C for 2 h) was higher than that of other samples and pure-TiO2.
