This study is about the writing strategies that Seychellois ESL students used when when given a joint writing task in a group work situation in class.

Why is it important?

This research contributes to the literature by using a sociocultural theory framework and examined writing strategies of Seychellois ESL students by making use of observation, field notes, and audio-recording of group interactions

Perspectives

I hope this article makes people realise that teaching and learning occur in a sociocultural context and is not confined within the heads of the learners.
