Land tenure security and agrarian investments in the Peruvian Highlands

What is it about?

We study the effects of land tenure security on agricultural investments in the Peruvian Highlands. We find a positive and significant impact on five and a negative and significant one on two among the nine investments analyzed. Land titling programs have positive, even if weak, impacts on rural development. Notwithstanding where traditional methods function well, the effects are adverse.
