What is it about?
a) Existing journal rankings are consolidated into an up-to-date and comprehensive list. b) ‘Random forests’, an advanced classification system, and data envelopment analysis are applied. c) With reference to the International Business (IB) domain, JIBS continues to top the list, JWB has solidified its position and joined the upper tier of IB journals. d) The space below JIBS and JWB is increasingly contested. e) IB journals perform well in the upper tier, but there is a long tail of IB journals at the lower end of our meta-ranking.

Why is it important?
There is a proliferation of journal rankings in business and management, but there are few rankings available which offer a meta-ranking approach. This ranking copes with data missingness, uses random forests and then applies data envelopment analysis to arrive at an integrating and methodologically novel ranking system. Specific focus is the International Business (IB) academic domain.
Perspectives
There are quite a few lists available internationally, Harzing exhibits numerous of these in her Journal Quality List compilation. This approach produces a ranking that shows within and between subject-area ratings. Specific focus here are IB journals
