What is it about?

aminophosphonates derivatives are an important class of inhibitors used to protect metals against corrosion. We have synthesized for the first time a new aminophosphonic molecule can to inhibit and protect the XC48 carbon steel against corrosion in acidic medium. We use in this study several methods to evaluate the inhibition efficiency of the synthetized compound such as: polarization curves and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS), atomic force microscopy (AFM), density functional method (DFT) and molecular dynamic simulations.
