Why is it important?
The Uberaba Formation is a Cretaceous unit rich in vertebrate fossils (dinosaurs and crocodiles). Despite the various studies carried out to date, the age of deposition of this stratigraphic unit was still unknown. The results presented in this work provide precise information about its age, allowing the development of paleogeographic models for the Upper Cretaceous of South America.
Perspectives
Writing this article was a great pleasure, as it has co-authors with whom I have had long-standing collaborations. This article also keeps me in touch with research groups in Cretaceous continental sequences.
