In the present study we evaluate the effect of antenatal breastfeeding counseling on breastfeeding rates in mothers of twins in a population of São Paulo, Brazil.

This is the first study that evaluate the effect of antenatal education on breastfeeding twins.
Perspectives
The knowledge obtained through this study may contribute to the creation of new perspectives in breastfeeding counseling to mothers of twins, with the main objective of increasing the rates of breastfeeding in twins.
