What is it about?
This paper explains how we can classify groundwater from its quality, rather than looking directly at the geology, which is not always easy. Conventional approach by geologists would be to observe groundwater springs and wells to look for any clues of surficial geological setting, eg: rocks, stratification, fractures, faults. This paper and also many papers before it, offers the strength of multivariate analysis to classifies and explains the hydrogeology of volcanic areas.
