What is it about?

We describe a case of IgG4-related pericarditis presenting as epicardial nodules with concomitant pericardial effusion, at an early stage without no constrictive physiology, successfully treated with corticosteroid.

Why is it important?

IgG4-related pericarditis remains undiagnosed. Serious complications (cardiac tamponade and constrictive pericarditis) occur at an advanced stage. However, early diagnosis remains challenging because of the lack of specific signs or symptoms in early disease stages.

Perspectives

You can diagnose any IgG4-related pericarditis at an earlier stage.
