What is it about?

This study is on stabilization of a electroactive complex anion in an assembly constituted by sickle shape relatively large fluorophoric cation.

Why is it important?

Fluorescence active and electro-chemically active sites present together in a metal complex have utility in energy transfer process to modulate redox active site. This study shows synthesis and characterization of an electroactive copper complex anion embedded by fluorescent cations.

Perspectives

Study on the system related to the one depicted in this manuscript may find use in modulation of wavelength to cause photo-redox process.
