Why is it important?

This paper focuses on the extant evidence emerging from cross-cultural research about the ways children around the globe master self-regulation (SR), with particular attention to the role of early caregiver-child interactions. We synthesized the emerging evidence on cross-cultural comparison of SR in young children, and the culturally common as well as distinct caregiver-child interaction patterns in relation to SR.
