What is it about?

Presscake of Jatropha curcas is rich in protein and can be used as feed after tetoxification. The shells are rich in fiber and should be removed before mechanical extraction to increase the feeding value. However, with out shells the kernels are soft and oil recovery is low. Blending with other material like cereals improves oil recovery and feeding value.
