What is it about?

This study investigates the role of ChatGPT in student learning. Survey data from 505 Malaysian university students were analyzed using SmartPLS. Results show that tech competency improves ChatGPT literacy and transparency but does not directly drive adoption. Instead, literacy and transparency significantly influence adoption, with transparency mediating the link between tech competency and adoption. User innovativeness strengthens the effects of tech competency on literacy, transparency, and adoption. The findings highlight ChatGPT’s potential as an educational tool and offer guidance for enhancing technology-based learning strategies.
