Why is it important?
The study identified healthcare areas and contexts in which nurse-patient communication and interaction have been studied in the sub-Saharan African context. The major findings and gaps in the healthcare areas are noted and recommendations for further studies made. Implications for nursing practice and management are also pointed out.
Perspectives
It is our hope that practicing nurses, nurse educators, and nursing managers will find this research valuable in their respective roles.
