What is it about?

This describes an action-learning project which used face-to-face and online learning experiences to provide culturally sensitive library staff professional development in an Australian university working in a developing country (Vietnam). Key findings were that: (1) online discussions were effective for extending existing knowledge, gaining practical hints, and examining attitudes; and (2) face-to-face workshops and visits were more effective for learning new material in a systematic way.
