This study analyses the Lime Stabilized Capping for its intended function of Controlling Swelling Displacements by performing a Numerical Analysis in PLAXIS 3D.

Why is it important?

It presents the new method to account for amount of swelling in PLAXIS 3D by applying volumetric strain obtained from actual swelling in laboratory consolidation test and then assesses the effect of innovative lime stabilized capping instead of conventional approach of stabilization of expansive soil for its complete effective zone depth.
