What is it about?

It is not easy to obtain human cardiac samples, since the extracting cardiac sample of human is lethal. Thus, although making use of model animals like mice is important, how coindcident are human and mice with each other is unclear. In ths paper, we tried to perform comparative gene expression analysis between mice and human cardiac maturation.

Why is it important?

We successfully identified a set of genes that exhibit monotonic development during cardiac maturation between human and mice. It can be a key to make use of mice gene expression to understand human cardiac maturation.

Perspectives

I have used PCA based unsupervised FE to various problems. In the collaboration with Dr. Uosaki at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, I tried to demonstrate the usefulness of this methodology when applied to the integration of multiple gene expression collected gene expression omnibus using two distinct maicroarray platforms.
