What is it about?
Gastric cancer in the early stages appears as a flat, slightly depressed, or gastritis-like lesion, which is commonly misdiagnosed as erosion or superficial inflammation. Narrow-band imaging (NBI) magnifying endoscopy is widely used for the evaluation of such small gastric lesions with high accuracy, based on abnormal microvascular patterns and irregularities in the superficial glandular structures of early gastric cancer.
