Succesfull endoscopic resection of esophageal melanoma

Why is it important?
This successful case of endoscopic removal of primary malignant esophageal melanoma in a high risk patient with severe co-morbidities is of interest. ESD is considered as the minimally invasive endoscopic treatment in these severe cases and the best alternative to esophagectomy. Patient survived and he is alive with excellent quality of life for 3 years post ESD.
