What is it about?

Measuring human motion is important for many biomechanical studies. We have presented a new marker set that allows for accurate measurement of markers when they would otherwise be obstructed by equipment (e.g., body armour).

Why is it important?

Our new method can be translated to other studies where equipment may prevent normal marker placement on the skin. Thus, researchers who face a similar problem can take and adapt our marker set for their purposes.

Perspectives

It was a great pleasure to undertake this research as it was my first collaboration with Defence Science and Technology Group. Interestingly, while the finished marker set seems complete, it took many hours of pilot testing to determine suitable marker placement and feasibility.
