What is it about?

This manuscript describes a hypothesis of how the synthesis of S-adenosylmethionine is regulated in mammals. Combining in vitro and in vivo data obtained in different laboratories it is possible to produce a whole view of the different regulatory levels at which redox stress acts to modulate the production of this metabolite and, in turn of key methylation events such as epigenetic methylations.
