What is it about?

Dayasari Residential College is 1966 low-rise multi residential building located in the University of Malaya campus in Kuala Lumpur. This building was designed with the internal courtyard that allows implementations of bioclimatic design strategies, focusing on natural ventilation.The study looked into the level of radiation and penetration of sunlight that influence the values of temperature and relative humidity.

Why is it important?

The effectiveness of ventilation approaches influenced by the position/floor level. The room's orientations do not affect the effectiveness of ventilation. Night ventilation: mean temperature values were below than 30 °C. Daytime, full-day, and no ventilation: mean temperature values exceeded 30 °C. Bioclimatic design and night ventilation approach are the best combination.
