To clarify the confusions between pseudocapacitance and non-capacitive charge storage, or supercapacitors and batteries.

Why is it important?

The misunderstanding of pseudocapacitance is commonplace in the literature, even though the criticisms on claiming capacitance from battery electrode materials have long been reported.
