What is it about?

Are environmental effects of GM crops more harmful to the environment than conventional crops? We collected data on environmental impact indicators of GM and conventional crops worldwide to answer this question. The methodological approach developed allows us to compare different indicators and to take all into consideration to analyse the environmental impact of both type of crops. We find that GM crops tend to cause lower environmental impacts than conventional crops for the analysed indicators
