Sharing precompetitive data and models may accelerate drug discovery

What is it about?

As pharmacetical companies continue to outsource, multiple bottlenecks are created in drug discovery and we propose four disruptive strategies for removing these bottlenecks describing how these strategies will have impact.

Why is it important?

We discuss how sharing precompetitive data and models may accelerate drug discovery, while finding the best collaborators, mining social media and mobile approaches to open drug discovery should be evaluated to potentially remove drug discovery bottlenecks.
