Why is it important?

While BRCT domains are the subject of intense study, the inter-BRCT linker regions also have important functions in a number of different processes.

Perspectives

It is clear that BRCT domains are involved in numerous different types of prote-protein interactions. The nature and function of many of these are likely still to be identified.
