What is it about?
Addition of hydrated lime to bitumen has shown reduction in aging of bitumen. However evaluation of effect of hydrated lime on fatigue life of bituminous mixes prepared after short term and long term aging will give more information about effect of lime on aging resistance of bituminous mixes.

Why is it important?
Reduction in fatigue life of bituminous mixes due to aging of bituminous mixes is one of the reason of failure of roads due to cracking. So investigation of fatigue life of bituminous mixes after long term aging which is one of the major cause of failure of roads due to cracking will be helpful in selection of age resistance bituminous mix.
Perspectives
Selection of bituminous mix after conducting the fatigue test on bituminous mix after long term aging will reduce the chances of failure of road due to cracking related to aging
