What is it about?
There are a number of hemodynamic markers of clinical outcomes in pulmonary hypertension. We looked at the pressure ratio between the left and right ventricle in patients who underwent combined left and right heart cathterization, and found it to be independently predictive of clinical outcomes even after correcting for traditional markers of disease severity

Why is it important?
This ratio may be helpful in prognostication and determining treatment in pulmonary hypertension patients, and may provide information not captured by traditional markers of disease severity
