What is it about?

Reporting emergence of cascading dynamics in the change of biodiversity in the generalized system of cyclic competition and the relationship between the cascading feature and subgroup structures

Why is it important?

Cyclic competition structures can lead to emergence of subgroups' survival, but not all such cyclic competition structure has the similar cascading dynamics. There exists a certain property for the cascading dynamics, which is a common feature, in systems of cyclic competition in the classic manner. This finding may provide an insight into the understanding how and when cyclic competition systems may show the cascading dynamics in biodiversity.
