What is it about?
A preview written to describe an article in the journal that used machine learning to predict synergy. I brought up the potential to identify chemical dark matter also the use of CRISPR screens. Finally I describe ultimately how we could discover drugs that can be used synergistically using machine learning.

Why is it important?
The first chemical-genetic machine learning paper was described and prediction of synergism. Groundbreaking work was described.
Perspectives
I was asked to write it and was able to get Jair involved. We had recently written a proposal on predicting synergy so the timing was perfect!
