What is it about?

There is an increasing prevalence of cancer among children in Aden, Yemen during the last couple of years. It is of great importance to have a high index of suspicion and work on early diagnosis and management to improve the prognosis of children.

Why is it important?

It is extremely important to work on prompt and early diagnosis on different childhood cancer before the occurrence of any metastasis and provide them with the necessary treatment. This will improve their outcome with early rehabilitation and lead them to lead a happy life with a bright future.

Perspectives

A high index of suspicion of the disease with early health education to the medical and health professionals will improve their prognosis if treatment is commenced as early as possible and on time. A good and brief explanations to the parents on the combination of drugs and the number of cycles to be given will further help in the continuation of treatment with continuous emotional and psychological support to the whole family.
